Post Weightloss Surgery

It's a lifestyle change!

What to Expect Post Weight Loss Surgery

Post weight loss surgery, several things will change. Your appetite will be almost non-existent. You don’t want to completely starve yourself. You may have to remind yourself to eat something throughout the day just to keep from getting the bad effects of going too long without eating.

Food that take longer to digest should be avoided such as one of my previous favorites….a ribeye beef steak. You will also need to avoid eating too quickly post weight loss surgery. Food can quickly get “stuck” on the way down and cause a really uncomfortable feeling.

You will not be able drink carbonated drinks (or you shouldn’t!). So no more Cokes or Sprites etc. post weight loss surgery. I was already a heavy tea drinker so this was not as big a deal, but now that Tea is what I have substituted all of my carbonated drink cravings for I have gotten more picky. When on the road, I would stop at McDonald’s for tea, but they have gotten so inconsistent. Either the tea is too old, too weak, or if I decide to get sweet tea, too sweet. I find the most consistent tea at Popeye’s, Canes, Wendy’s, or Chic-Fil-A. If tea is not on your preferred drinks list, then I recommend you find something easy on the stomach that could serve as your go-to drink when you want something good to drink post weight loss surgery.
